A girl born from the union of an alien mother and a human father. She's trying to save the world through song in place of her mother, who isn't there to do it anymore.

She's honest, kind, and tries her best at everything she does, including her favorite thing in the world: singing. While she is generally polite, she sometimes surprises people with her out-of-this-world behavior, which can be attributed to her half alien side.

She begins exchanging letters with Yuuto after she finds his injured carrier pigeon and nurses it back to health. Her greatest desire is to sing the greatest love song and save the world. She travels to Yuuto's town in order to fulfill this wish.

One of Yuuto's childhood friends and older sister figures. One year his senior, Iori is quick-witted and never hesitates to speak her mind. Although she may complain, she's willing to become Yuuto's partner in crime if needs must, but she tends to remain cautious when it comes to matters of the heart.

Her parents are active members of the local community, and Iori has inherited their strong sense of responsibility. She deeply loves her hometown and everybody in it, often lending an ear to the other residents' worries and troubles. She and Minori were born on the same day and grew up together as bosom buddies.

Another of Yuuto's childhood friends and older sister figures. Despite her calm demeanor and gentle manner of speech, Minori is the more impulsive one when romance is involved. She loves to chit-chat about the love lives of others even more than she does about her own.

As the poster girl of Hinata Diner, which serves the best food in town, she has a firm grip on the local community through their stomachs. Since her mother is pregnant, she's running the restaurant practically on her own. She and Iori were born on the same day and grew up together as bosom buddies.

An older sister figure to Yuuto and the other kids, who affectionately address her as "Aki-nee." She has known Yuuto since he was a baby, and while she loves to tease him, she also knows when to back off. One of the few dependable adults in Yuuto's life, she's confident in her physical strength and her driving skills.

As the granddaughter of the old junk shop owner, she now works as the store manager as well as the leader of the neighborhood watch.

Yuuto's mentor, who taught him how to repair appliances and gadgets at the junk shop. While he's retired from his position as manager, he can usually be found working on something or other in the back of the shop. Although he's a man of few words, his remarks can be surprisingly sharp and to the point, as he doesn't like to beat around the bush. Other men look up to him as a leader, and his organizational skills are second to none.

A sluice of mysterious creatures that live at Kanade's house. Individuals can be told apart by their color. Some of them are able to understand and even speak human language.
